About this place
For something sweet at Anaisu, start with the pudding. One diner who visited for lunch said they were pleased with its classic style; another recalled that it was bigger than expected and satisfyingly substantial. The menu includes homemade pudding (500 yen), as well as the “Pudding Forest” and “Big Pudding Parfait” (each 680 yen). Choose pudding on its own or enjoy it with fruit in a parfait when you want dessert to take centre stage.
For breakfast, the Morning A Set (450 yen) lets you choose toast, a sandwich or a hot dog, and comes with a boiled egg and salad. Morning B Set (480 yen) pairs cheese toast with a boiled egg and salad, while Morning C Set (500 yen) includes ham and eggs. One breakfast visitor remembered the thick toast for its pleasantly chewy texture, and the black coffee for its strong, full flavour. Add coffee to a toast set for an easy start to the day, whether you are after a light breakfast or a more leisurely meal.
There is plenty to choose from for lunch and dinner, too, including café-style favourites such as Napolitan and pasta with spicy cod roe, as well as pasta with swimming crab. One diner ordered Napolitan; on another visit, diners enjoyed swimming crab pasta, spicy cod roe pizza and tomato-sauce pasta with basil and mozzarella. A family also shared a Big Pudding after their meal, suggesting a nice way to make an occasion of both dinner and dessert.
Alongside breakfast and lunch, the menu includes dinner dishes and lighter snacks, so Anaisu can suit different kinds of meals throughout the day. You might stop in for the pudding or gather around pasta and pizza; either way, the café’s sweet side can be part of a meal built around a savoury dish.
